Terms of Service

1. Who provides the service

Bantercup (the «Service») is provided by Optimer Solution AS, Norwegian company registration number 935 933 242, registered in Norway. Contact: postmaster@optimer.no.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept the terms, do not use the Service.

3. Your account

• You must provide a valid email address you have access to.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account. Do not share your login code or password.
• You agree not to use the Service for unlawful gambling. Bantercup is an informal competition between friends; any entry fees are arranged between you and never pass through us.
• You can delete your account at any time from the profile page. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

4. Payment and refunds

• Registering and playing in a league is free. The league admin pays to unlock invitations and participants: a one-off fee per league for tournaments (e.g. the World Cup), or a season pass per league for season competitions (e.g. the Premier League). The price is shown at checkout. The season pass is a single payment — not a subscription, and it does not renew automatically.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card details.
• The payment is non-refundable once the league is activated, as the Service's value (inviting players, scoring) is delivered immediately. You are informed of this at checkout.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Spam other users or abuse the invitation feature
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or breach the Service's security
• Use the Service for organised gambling or betting
• Break Norwegian law

We reserve the right to close accounts that break these rules, without notice.

6. Content and copyright

You keep ownership of your own predictions and content. We claim no rights to your data beyond what is needed to deliver the Service (showing leaderboards, calculating points, and so on).

Match data (teams, fixtures, results) comes from open sources such as football-data.org, subject to their respective terms.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided «as is». We give no guarantee that the Service is always available or error-free, or that match results are 100 % accurate. Any money or obligations agreed within your league are your own responsibility and never pass through us.

Optimer Solution AS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, to the extent permitted by Norwegian law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email and/or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that counts as acceptance.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are first sought resolved amicably; failing that, the venue is Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett).
